"And God said, "I am giving you a sign as evidence of my eternal covenant with you and all living creatures. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will be seen in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with everything that lives. Never again will there be a flood that will destroy all life." Genesis 9:12-15
I guess you are probably wondering why I am opening up this blog with a Bible verse. Hopefully, you will understand in a few minutes.
If you have been following my blog, you definitely have noticed that I haven't written in it in quite a while. Life has a way of getting in the way of your well laid out plans. But, thankfully, I am getting ready to start on my journey of travels again in about 10 days.
I am leaving April 7th, will travel through Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. I plan on not being "home" until the 2nd week in July. So, stay tuned to the blog to get your updates on places to go and places to stay away from in the upcoming weeks.
As for right now, I am back at "the lake." Yesterday afternoon, the park was hit with severe thunderstorms, hail, and gusts of wind up to 50 mph. I enjoy everything about my way of life right now EXCEPT those 3 things. Wind makes me especially nervous. I have visions of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz when strong winds hit. I can see myself and my home on wheels spinning in the air and probably not coming down in one piece on top of the wicked witch! Yikes!
So, usually during a storm like that, I get in a close conversation with God. I never pray enough, but nothing like something that scares you to make you try to catch up on your praying! Yesterday was one of those times.
After the storm was over, Mr. W went driving around to make sure everyone else was OK and he suddenly came back, opened the door, and told me to hurry up and get my camera and come see the rainbow. It was awesome. As someone close to me said, rainbows make me happy and this definitely made me smile.
Not only was it God's promise to Noah all those years ago, but it is still His promise to us that He has not forgotten even during the time that this old girl lives in. What an awesome God.
Here are just some random pics from my visit to "the lake" this time. This really is a beautiful park. If you are ever in the area, you really should check it out.
Once again, you got some really good pictures! And a double rainbow!! That's so awesome. Looking forward to seeing you in South Carolina in June!!
