HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

My first park to visit at Disney World was Hollywood Studios.  This was not here many years ago when I visited.  Son and DIL wanted to be sure and get a spot for Boy-child to participate in the Jedi (Star Wars) training school.  So, they decided to drive their vehicle and park in the parking lot and arrive at the park 45 minutes prior to opening.  You cannot reserve a spot in the Jedi training camp ahead of time. You have to sign up the day you visit the park.  As you can imagine, there are limited spots.  So, the plan was for Son and Boy-child to run to the sign up place as soon as the gates opened.  They did and Boy-child was all signed up for Jedi training! Once that was taken care, let the day begin.

Twilight Zone - Tower of Terror

Mickey's magical hat - Take a good look because after Christmas, it is going away forever.
Son had picked our 3 Fast Passes (FP) for each day.  Our first FP was for the Twilight Zone-Tower of Terror.  Now, do I look like someone who would ride the Tower of Terror? I don't think so.  I'm not sure what the heck Son was thinking! So, Squeaky and I went to see Ariel perform in the mermaid show instead.

Because it is Hollywood Studios, everything there has something to do with the movies.  There is Animation Alley which has to do with animation in movies. Hard to believe, right? There was also a ride that featured some of the best movies in movie history.  The characters are robots but many of them looked very alive and real as you rode past them.
Howdy Pilgrim!

I'll take care of you and your little dog my little pretty!

If I only had a brain, or a heart, or courage!
Of course, you tend to run into very famous people at Disney Parks.
Donald and Daisy

Chip
Santa Pluto
One of the presentations was on stunt people in movies and what better movie to demonstrate that than Indiana Jones.  This was really interesting and they used some of the people out of the audience.

One of the coolest things that happened was Boy-Child's Jedi session.  He is 9 years old and is at that age where you don't want to be doing anything "babyish" and you want to be "cool".  But he had a great time doing this and was super pumped about it.  He was careful not to be talkative about it though because of the "cool" thing.  I hate that he and Girl-child are at that time in their life where this "cool" thing starts.  I just know that I enjoyed very much watching him participating in this.

The force is with you!
One thing about Disney, they know how to do things right.  They had several 3D programs that were great.

Looks pretty serious
And it wouldn't be a trip to Hollywood Studios without the Muppets.

Mimi and Pops had gotten pretty tired and our legs and feet were hurting.  So we said goodbye and headed back to the 5W around 6:30 pm.  After all, we had a date with princesses the next day!
