I really didn't know what to expect when I arrived. This place is one of the venues for events happening in the area. This past weekend, they had a gun show. The weekend before was the Spring Shopping Event. You get the idea.
The Agri=Center also has a Farmer's Market. I was really bummed out when I found out that it didn't open until May 1st. This is all part of Shelby Farms. They grow almost all the crops on this 4,500 acres. Yes, I said 45 Hundred acres.
It has a nursery. They had all their plants out and people were buying and carrying off all kinds of plants all weekend long.
You can see the irrigation machine and the paved hike/bike trail
This place also has about 6.5 miles of hike/bike trails. Almost all of them are paved. Mr. W and I are destination bike riders. We like to bike ride "to" somewhere. A Starbucks is always nice, but we are not Starbucks snobs. So, let us find a good place to stop for a while and we are good. We did find a Waffle House and a Perkins restaurant on the bike trail. However, the weather and our schedule did not make it possible to go on our destination ride. Darn weather!
One of the best things on this complex is the Butcher Shop. The Butcher Shop is a restaurant. They sell steaks/hamburgers from cows raised in the area. Salmon is also on the menu. They have what they call Fresh Burgers Friday. They are not open for lunch except on Fridays. You can get one of the best 1/2 pound cheeseburgers I have ever eaten, on Fridays between 11:00-2:00, with all the fixins', made from freshly ground meat and a bag of chips for $7.95. Yum, yum
This place is open for dinner every night and they also have a separate room big enough for special events.
There is also a guy who pulls into one of the parking lots 2 days a week and sells fresh seafood, which I hear his seafood is very good and fresh.
They also have a gift shop call the Little Red Barn. They sell frozen dinners for those who don't have time to cook. The complex also offers additional things as seen on the sign in the picture. Not everything was open yet.
As for the actual RV park, it isn't much to write home about but nice enough that I would stay here again. The roads and sites are all gravel. You have full hook-ups at each site. They have 30 and 50 amp sites. They do have a laundry room that has 3 washers and 3 dryers. There were a lot of big rigs so no worries about the size of your rig. They have daily, weekly, and monthly rates.
