The beach is directly across the street from the RV Resort and is just a short walk. But, with needing to take chairs and buckets to collect sea shells and because little legs usually end up needing to be carried half way through the walk, we drove to the beach. :)
Mr. W bought a mermaid kite last year to fly with Curly and Popcorn. The girls remembered that and wanted the mermaid kite to make another appearance. Fortunately, the mermaid kite was one of the things kept and she flew high in the breeze at Galveston. However, the girls quickly moved on to something different so SIL ended up having to bring the mermaid back to earth.
The next things that came out were the buckets. It was time to walk down the beach and collect sea shells.
Who knew there were SO many sea shells on the sea shore?
Mr. W decided that the girls needed their names written in the sand. Not just where they could read it, but where people in airplanes could read it! This thrilled the girls a lot!
What would a day at the beach without a mermaid tattoo for kids? That's what I thought too!
Here are just a few random pictures of our day.
After the trip to the beach, we went back to the RV so the "adults" could play a new card game and the girls could do what this generation does when they don't have anything else to do.
Who could ask for a better day......Right?
It was a fun day! You got some cute pics. :)
