HAVING SOME FUN AT A BEAUTIFUL PARK

Today, the girls only had to go to school for half a day.  So, after they got home from school and we ate a little lunch, we went to a beautiful park close to downtown Columbia.  It is in the middle of a neighborhood.  The dogwoods and azaleas are blooming EVERYWHERE right now and it is absolutely beautiful.

The first thing the girls wanted to do was swing and they wanted us to push them.  They swang high enough that they started getting nervous.  After they left, Mr. W and Daughter decided to swing.  Mr. W was swinging really high when right as he got back down to the center, the chain came loose from the seat and he fell flat on the sand beneath the swing.  Wow! He was totally shocked and so were we.  He was just thankful that it happened when he was on the downside of the swing instead of when he was at the highest point out.  I'm really glad that it didn't happen to one of the girls while they were swinging.  After inspecting the swing, we are still puzzled as to how that happened.

The girls eventually found the seesaw and wanted us to get on it with them.  How fun was that?  I haven't been on a seesaw that was that small in a LONG time.  But it was fun and the girls had a great time with us doing this with them.

Isn't this a fun picture? I smile everytime I see it!

Mr. W and Popcorn
They found 2 little stool looking things that are actually a merry-go-round for one.  They spun round and round until they couldn't hold on any longer and either fell off or jumped off and then they couldn't walk straight.  Daughter tried it and gave herself a headache from the spinning.  She's still a kid at heart.

There is sand everywhere and how could you play in sand without covering yourself up with sand?  Daughter didn't want them to get that much sand on them and Mr. W didn't want them getting sand in his truck.  Both of them are out of luck.
