INDIAN COVE RESORT

Tomorrow I am going to Myrtle Beach.  I will be there for 2 weeks.  Mr. W is "hoping" we can get there in 1 day.  We have to travel 350 miles. Doesn't that sound crazy? But, when you take in account you are pulling a 38 ft. trailer behind you, you don't drive any faster than 60 mph, you have to make occasional stops, well, you can count on about 8 1/2 hours to get there if everything goes right.

I have been staying at Indian Cove Resort which is a Coast To Coast park.  In some ways it reminds me of the campground that I own a membership in. But, in other ways, it is very different.  It has over 300 sites.  But, the sites are close together with no trees.  There are canals that run between every other loop and the canals lead out to Shipps Bay.  You can launch a boat or canoe or kayak.  They have kayaks you can "check-out" and use for the day.  I did not have time to do that which is too bad because I think that would have been fun.

Where the canal goes into Hell's Point Creek. You follow this creek and it empties into Shipps Bay.

A canal that runs between a loop. You can fish on the canals without having a license.

The second pool

The canal that ran behind our trailer.
It has a nice laundry, 4 bath houses, a "mini" store, and golf cart rental (to get around the park). All of the sites are level and about half have a concrete pad and about half don't. It is definitely going on the "will visit again" list.

I like to take pictures of old houses and barns.  I'm going to finish off this post with a few pics I took yesterday. Hope you enjoy!
